MAAYAA VARNNAM is a sole proprietorship registered under applicable Indian laws, operating as an online boutique curating premium sarees and ethnic wear.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By visiting our website, browsing our products, or placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You are at least 18 years of age.
  • You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
  • You have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service in their entirety.
  • You agree to our Privacy Policy, Return & Refund Policy, and Shipping Policy, all of which form part of these Terms.

3. Products

3.1 Product Descriptions

  • We make every reasonable effort to display our products as accurately as possible, including photographs, fabric descriptions, and colour representation.
  • Actual colours may vary slightly due to differences in screen settings, monitor calibration, photography lighting, and device display.
  • Minor natural variations in weave, zari placement, motif positioning, tassels, embroidery, or handcrafted characteristics are inherent to handwoven and artisanal sarees. These are not defects and do not constitute grounds for a return.
  • Product images are for illustrative purposes. The exact piece received may have slight variations from the image shown, which is natural for handcrafted textiles.

3.2 Pricing

  • All prices displayed on our website are in Indian Rupees (₹) and are inclusive of applicable GST unless otherwise stated.
  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice. The price applicable at the time of placing your order will be honoured.
  • We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and cancel orders placed at incorrect prices due to technical or human error. A full refund will be issued in such cases.
  • Shipping charges, if applicable, are displayed separately at checkout.

3.3 Product Availability

  • All products are sold subject to availability. As a curated boutique with limited inventory, items may sell out without prior notice.
  • In the event that a product you ordered is unavailable, we will notify you within 2 business days and offer a full refund or an alternative, subject to your preference.
  • We do not guarantee availability of any product at any particular time.

3.4 Handcrafted & Handloom Products

  • Several products available on MAAYAA VARNNAM are handwoven, handcrafted, or handloom in nature.
  • Such products carry natural variations in texture, colour, weight, and finish. These variations are part of their authenticity and craftsmanship and shall not be treated as defects.
  • Where a product is described as carrying a Geographical Indication (GI) tag — such as Kuthampully handloom — such claims are made in good faith based on our sourcing. We source directly from weaver cooperatives or certified suppliers wherever possible.

4. Orders & Payments

4.1 Placing an Order

  • By clicking "Place Order" or completing checkout, you are making a binding offer to purchase the product at the stated price.
  • An order is confirmed only upon receipt of full payment and generation of a tax invoice by MAAYAA VARNNAM.
  • Order confirmation will be sent to your registered email address and/or WhatsApp number.

4.2 Payment Methods

We currently accept the following payment methods:

  • UPI (GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, and others)
  • Credit Card
  • Debit Card
  • Net Banking

MAAYAA VARNNAM does not currently offer Cash on Delivery (COD). All orders must be fully paid at the time of checkout.

4.3 Payment Security

  • All payments are processed through secure, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateways.
  • MAAYAA VARNNAM does not store, access, or retain any card numbers, CVV details, or net banking credentials.
  • We are not responsible for any unauthorised transactions occurring due to compromise of your payment credentials outside of our platform.

4.4 GST Invoice

  • A valid GST invoice will be issued for every order.
  • The invoice will reflect the applicable GST at the rate of 12% for sarees and garments above ₹1,000 MRP, as per the CGST Act, 2017.
  • The invoice will be shared digitally via email and/or included with your shipment.

4.5 Order Cancellation by Customer

  • Orders may be cancelled within 12 hours of placement, provided the order has not been dispatched.
  • Cancellation requests received after dispatch cannot be accepted under any circumstances.
  • To cancel, contact us immediately at grievance@maayaavarnnam.com with your Order ID.
  • Custom or personalised orders cannot be cancelled once confirmed.

4.6 Order Cancellation by MAAYAA VARNNAM

We reserve the right to cancel any order due to:

  • Product unavailability after order placement
  • Pricing errors due to technical or human error
  • Suspected fraudulent or unauthorised transactions
  • Incorrect, incomplete, or undeliverable delivery address
  • Any other reason at our reasonable discretion

In all such cases, a full refund will be processed within 5–7 business days to the original payment method.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Shipping, delivery timelines, courier partners, tracking, and related matters are governed by our Shipping & Delivery Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service. Please read it carefully before placing your order.

Key points:

  • We currently ship across serviceable locations in India.
  • International shipping is unavailable.
  • MAAYAA VARNNAM is not responsible for delays caused by courier partners, weather, customs, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

6. Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Returns, refunds, exchanges, and cancellations are governed by our Return & Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service.

Key points:

  • A mandatory unboxing video is required for all return or damage claims.
  • Returns are accepted only for defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied products.
  • Voluntary returns are not accepted.
  • Return requests must be raised within 48 hours of delivery.

  • The brand name MAAYAA VARNNAM, associated logo, monogram, tagline, and all creative assets are proprietary to MAAYAA VARNNAM.

  • All content on this website — including product photographs, descriptions, graphics, layouts, text, and design elements — is the exclusive intellectual property of MAAYAA VARNNAM and is protected under the Copyright Act, 1957.

7.3 Prohibited Use

You may not, without our prior written permission:

  • Use our brand name, logo, or product images for any commercial or personal purpose.

  • We are not liable for colour variations resulting from screen calibration or photography differences.
  • We are not liable for any loss arising from unauthorised use of your payment credentials outside our platform.

Nothing in this clause limits any rights available to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 or any other applicable Indian law.

11. Force Majeure

MAAYAA VARNNAM shall not be held liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms if such delay or failure is caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, or severe weather
  • Pandemic, epidemic, or public health emergency
  • Government orders, restrictions, or lockdowns
  • Strikes, civil unrest, or transportation disruptions
  • Courier network failures or disruptions
  • Power outages or internet infrastructure failures

In such events, we will make reasonable efforts to inform affected customers and resume normal operations as soon as possible.
